Wittenberg
I am out of order but my phone died and I couldn't add photos. These are the front doors of the church at Wittenberg where Martin Luther nailed the 95 theses. That was the start of the Reformation, October 31, 2017. There are metal doors now that have his statements on them.
Karlskirche
Emperor Karl VI built this church to celebrate the Archbishop of Milan, St. Charles Borromeo, for the help he gave plague sufferers during the 1713 epidemic. It is huge and richly embellished and painted. We were able to get all the way to the top to see the frescoes on the ceiling, about 243 feet above the floor! I did not look down.
